SOS BIGHINADOS (Neighbourhoods)

 

In the boundary between Quirriu Altu and Quirriu de Santa Caterina was the neighbourhood of MALU PENSU, modern Azuni street.

There were, moreover:

SU BIGHINADU DE DOMOS NOAS, which developed during XVIII century in the area named Quirrios de Crastos de Sardinia and included the town zone sorrounded by Diane Street and a stretch of Martini street.

GIARDINU is the first stretch of Martini street.

SU DE MANUNTA bordered with GIARDINU and included modern Manunta and Arnosio streets.

SU BIGHINADU DE BIDDA NOA (the neighbourhood of new city) developed during XVII century in the area known as Quirrios de Crastos de Sardinia and included Villanova, Iosto and a part of Sarra streets. It bordered with SU DE MANUNTA.

SU DE ANTONI PINNA is the upper part of Pietro Salis street (see Plans).

SU BIGHINADU DE LODÈ was the stretch of Pietro Salis street bordering with SU DE ANTONI PINNA and went from Zachary street down to Minerva street (see Plans).

SU DE DON FELIS bordered with Cortile de Cheia and included modern Don Felis and Mannu streets (see Plans).

TINNIAS was on the town outskirts and bordered with the final part of CARRELA LONGA. You can refer to the last houses of the second stretch of Queen Margaret street (see Plans).

SU BIGHINADU O CONTRADA DE LAREDU went along the firs stretch of Father Nicolò street (see Plans) and bordered with SA TANCA DE SU CALONIGU.

 There were also other unlocated “neighbourhoods”: the street called FRANCISCHEDDU, SU DE MADAU.
